Are you a licensed pilot looking to make a meaningful impact with your time in the air? Join Community Flights’ Fundraising Flights Program, and help raise vital funds that support free patient transport across regional Queensland.
Under the CASA-approved EX49/25 exemption, eligible pilots can conduct scenic joy flights at approved fundraising events — with all proceeds supporting our mission.

✅ Pilot Eligibility
To register, you’ll need to meet the following CASA requirements:
Hold a valid CPL or ATPL
Minimum 150 hours PIC (25 hours multi-engine if applicable)
Minimum 10 hours on aircraft type/class
Completed 1 takeoff and landing in type within 30 days of the flight
Current insurance that covers private operations with passengers
📝 How It Works
Register online at least 14 days before an event
Submit your:
Pilot declaration
Licence and medical
Last page of your logbook
Insurance certificate
Await written approval
Receive your pilot welcome pack – including a lanyard, badge, briefing documents, and passenger handouts
Once approved, you’ll be ready to fly at one of our exciting fundraising events, giving the public a memorable experience while supporting a life-changing cause.
💰 Cost Reimbursement
Approved fundraising pilots may be eligible for reimbursement of direct, flight-related operational costs. This ensures your participation doesn’t come at a personal financial burden while maintaining compliance with CASA EX49/25 conditions.

Please note: no payment or reward beyond direct operational costs is permitted.
⚠️ Important Notes
Flights must depart and return to the same certified aerodrome
All flights must be VFR by day within a 50 NM radius
No aerobatics, low flying, or formation flying permitted
You must carry a copy of CASA EX49/25 onboard during the flight
